It has been reported that Ford Motors is working on the software of its latest Fusion car which is one of the biggest hits among all of its latest models. The company is not labeling it as a recall but they are saying that they are updating the previous software of the regenerative braking system which is reported to be delivered on 2010 Ford Hybrid and Mercury Milan Hybrid. The company has also claimed they are running a customer’s satisfaction program and the owners of the cars will be notified by mail.
In a media statement made by the company it was said that “We have received reports that some drivers have experienced a different brake feel when the hybrid’s unique regenerative brakes switch to conventional hydraulic braking” and it was further stated that “While the vehicles maintain full braking capability, customers may initially perceive the condition as loss of brakes”.
The company has also announced that they will reprogram the software of the affected vehicles without charging any money to the owners. The sale rate of the Fusion hybrid was reported to be very high in the last year and this new problem can affect the sale but according to the company they’ll overcome this problem very soon.
