It has been reported that the OnStar telematics unit of GM has developed a downloadable application for Chevrolet Volt and it will let the driver to use a Blackberry Storm, Apple iPhone or Motorola Droid to remotely control and thus monitor some vehicle functions like charging.

The is really very hot in news these days because GM and the dealers of international markets have quite great expectations from this car and this is the reason GM is presenting something new and good in this car.  Apart from just charging the driver of volt will also get some extra facility to perform other functions like getting status reports like how much electronic driving range is available and warming up or cooling the vehicle before getting in. Some other features which are expected to come for this car is electronic locking and unlocking of car, turning on the horn and lights to help drivers locate their vehicles. This will be thus very new and exciting features ever seen on the cars and it will definitely increase the market demand for Volt as well.
