The perfect fuel economy has nowadays become a major concern of almost every auto developing and on this issue Hyundai has revealed some really exciting announcement. This Tuesday the company said that it has a goal of developing a lineup of cars and trucks with an average fuel economy of at least 50 miles per gallon by 2025.
Hyundai Motor America CEO John Krafcik while speaking at the Management Briefing Seminars in Traverse City, Mich. Stated that “Getting to 50 mpg and beyond seems like a huge leap, but by making this commitment and aligning our r&d initiatives now, we know we can get there”.
Though the goal which the company has specified is quite far from now but still the company is pretty much confident that they’ll get that one on the specified time frame. While discussing about the company’s plans, Krafcik showed up the example of 2011 Sonata midsize sedan is a very good example of perfect fuel economy and it is the company’s continuation into the plan discussed above.
By further discussing about his plan Krafcik said that the company will attain the 50 mpg target with its 80% lineup of gasoline powered cars and only 20% will be the hybrid models. From all the statements provided by Krafcik it is clear that the company is quite confident at its production lineup and with this attitude they can reach up to their goal.
