Toyota has been involved in the recall of the faulty accelerators problems from the past many months and now a new such news have been evolved from the company’s platform, it has been announced by the company on Monday that it is going to recall about 9,400 copies of 2010 model of Lexus GX 460 in order to update the stability control software. This decision has been made because of report by Consumer reports magazine in which it was actually warned that the vehicle is open to oversteer in turns and with that the magazine also urged its subscribers not to buy this vehicle.
Steve St. Angelo, Toyota chief quality officer for North America while discussing about this issue said that “Toyota’s objective is to provide a high level of safety and quality, while meeting or surpassing governmental regulations” and further “Our engineers have conducted tests to confirm the [stability-control] performance issue raised by Consumer Reports, and we are confident this software update addresses the concern”. The magazine actually printed its warning on April 12 and just within some days the company decides to perform the recall which is a very good sign for the company and it can be expected that this problem will also be resolved very soon.
