Porsche has started the production of its most amazing sports car the 918 Spyder which is one of the highly anticipated models announced by the company. The Porsche Spyder concept was revealed on the Geneva motor show and now the company has green lighted the development of this model.

This latest Hybrid version of Porsche is going to be developed first in the limited editions and then may be the range of development will be increase, according to Michael Macht, president and chairman of the board of management of Porsche AG “Production of the 918 Spyder in a limited series proves that we are taking the right approach with Porsche Intelligent Performance, featuring the combination of supreme performance and efficient drivetrain concepts”.

Now let me show the actual capabilities of this model, this model is going to be boosted up with two motors and both will be capable of producing power up to 109hp, there will also be a lithium ion battery along with that. It will come with a 3.6 liter V8 engine that will work with the batteries that is going to power the motors.

According to the company’s claims, this model is capable to reach 62mph in just 3.2 seconds and can lap the Nürburgring in 7.5 minutes. The car will be developed by light weight carbon-fiber monocoque and with that it will also a carbon fiber engine cradle. Thus from the specifications, I must say that get ready for a blast that will flash away the reputations of previous hybrid models present in the auto market.
